With the latest newbuildings mv “Kingcup” and “Kingfisher” Freese Shipping goes bigger in the MPP sector. The vessels with below main particulars have a displacement of 28.000tdw and a container capacity of 1650TEU. In holds stowage of 5 tiers of 9’6” high containers is possible. The vessels are equipped with 100 reefer sockets and capable of carrying dangerous goods according SOLAS II-2 Reg. 19. Two cranes each 120t and one crane 80t are installed port side. In combined operation lifts of up to 240t can be handled. In holds No 2 to 4 the pontoon type tween deck is adjustable in two heights. Hydraulic operated hatch covers closing all holds. As main engine the new designed, electronically managed MAN B&W 6S40ME-B is installed. This engine meets latest requirements in environmental protection (reduced emission) and energy efficiency
